Texas Roots

I’m loving all the adorableness that is this newborn session. Adorableness? Is that a word? Probably not! After talking just a short while with this little guys Mom and Grandma I could tell they were from the south! Turns out they are originally from Texas, and have such great Southern accents. It’s so cool that although this little guy was born in Wisconsin, he sure has some Texas roots! A cute thing I noticed during the session is how his big sister was raised to say “Yes Maam” a lot more than kiddos who grow up here. It was another fun giveaway that they were from the South!

One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to meet different people from all walks of life. I especially connect with the military families that I get to meet. I loved talking with Mom during this session and listening to the various states her and her husband had lived in while he served in the Army. He recently retired, and getting a few shots with his uniform and retirement certificate was going to be a surprise. Dad wasn’t able to make it to the session, so doing these special photos were exciting for all of us involved.

Let’s talk about his name. LOVE IT! Hudson is one of my favorite boy names. Mom hadn’t revealed Hudson’s name yet to her family and friends, so the shot with his personalized hat on was another big surprise reveal. I think he really loves his name, and his hat with that HUGE smile on his face! I love capturing those cute baby smiles, and this just happened to be one of my last shots of the session.
