Shades of Blue Cake Smash
Happy first Birthday to this little man! I’m SO happy about the way this shades of blue cake smash turned out. This cutie pie’s poor Momma went through a LOT to get the perfect cake for her little man’s smash! He did a great job, besides getting a little crabby towards the end of his session. But a good ol’ cake smash always draws one year olds back in and ends the session with a ton of fun!
When we originally had his session scheduled, Mom called me about 15 minutes before his session time. She was in a bit of a pinch, and panic because the bakery messed up his cake! Every parents worst nightmare! When she went to the bakery to pick up the cake, they came walking out with a tiny little box. Right away she thought that it wasn’t what she ordered. She had ordered a bigger cake that was supposed to look like a cupcake. What the bakery did, was made her a regular sized cupcake in the colors she asked for. When mom had called me she was at another store trying to find something…ANYTHING…that would work!
After finding nothing at the store she was at, she was so disappointed and discouraged. I told her of another grocery store down the street that sometimes sold big cupcake cakes. After thinking of how bummed she was about the bakery messing up the cake she ordered, I quick called her back. I figured if she didn’t LOVE the cake she was buying, she wasn’t going to love the photos. I would hate for her to be doomed looking at these photos of a cake she didn’t like! haha! So… to make a long story short, we ended up rescheduling her session so she could re-order the cake.
When they did come in for little man’s session, she told me she actually ordered the cake from two separate bakeries so she had a back up! Smart lady! I love how perfect the blue colors in the cake matched with the blue decor and balloons. I’m sure this shades of blue cake smash will be something she will never forget!
