Little {E} how are you one year old already! I’ve been working with this awesome family since their older son was born. Momma purchased my baby package with him, and then again when she was expecting this little man! As you can imagine this family quickly turned into friends. Mom and Dad love the great outdoors, and for most of the boy’s sessions we’ve done an outdoor theme. I was super excited when Mom wanted to do a lumberjack cake smash theme for this session!

Mom has always brought in some of the cutest props with her! I love how many of these she makes herself, like the banner in the background. She made and decorated the cute cake as well! This really adds a lot of personalization to her boys sessions. It’s great to be able to use most of the decor during your child’s birthday party, and also incorporate it into their cake smash session.

For their older son she stuck with an animal theme for his first year photos. For this little guy she decided to go with a bear theme, and bear paw print. I love how this cake smash turned out. It’s always fun getting creative with milestone sessions.

We did a few shots of {E} besides his cake smash, but I really wanted to show off his fun smash in this post. He was really into getting his hands in there at first, and towards the end got pretty upset and wanted to be done! It’s funny to see how each toddler reacts to their cake smash session. Some love getting their hands and face in the frosting, and others want nothing to do with it!
