Simple Cake Smash

Another sweet little boy cake smash! Milestone sessions are so much for to photograph, and when it ends with a cake smash it’s even better! I really LOVE how this simple cake smash turned out, and the vintage yet modern color scheme we went with.

{O}’s Mom wanted to stay simple. She wanted his little one’s smash somewhat vintage looking due to the adorable outfits she purchased for him. She also wanted to stay with grey and a few pops of teal/light blue colors. I knew right away we should do a distressed wood backdrop and floor for more of a vintage feel. I suggested this cute banner, which I made specifically for this session. The cute rag banner adds just enough pop of color to this simple cake smash. O had such a fun time during his Milestone, cake smash session! It was fun watching this sweet boy dig into his cake.

Let’s talk about these adorable outfits mom bought! She found them out Etsy, and I think she knocked it out of the park with these! Those cute suspenders, bow ties, and hats. A very classic yet vintage look is so adorable on little boys!

Of course besides the cake smash we did a few other shots as well. Mom wanted to stay with a very light, fresh color scheme to match with his nursery at home. She told me his nursery is very classic and white and grey. I LOVE how the stars backdrop turned out and how bight and airy it is! O’s Mom brought some adorable stuffed animals, and unicorn rocker from his nursery as well which look so cute incorporated into his session. <3
