Cold Night at the Beach
I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet couple from Illinois for their maternity session at the beach in Kenosha. They were such troopers, because it was a cold night at the beach. Somewhere around 50 degrees, maybe less, with windy conditions. Of course the following evening was one of the warmest we had all spring. I think that’s just the way things go sometimes! You’d never know it was so chilly in these photos. The gorgeous lighting naturally warms up the images as if it was a perfect 70 degree evening.
This gorgeous couple is welcoming their first little on into the world very soon. They were so fun to work with, and genuinely such kind people. I love getting to know my clients, and hearing about their hobbies and interests. After talking about my son’s hockey, I learned (D) had been playing hockey his whole life and is now coaching! It was fun listening to all the fun he had growing up on the ice, as well as his knowledge of the game and all of the teams in the surrounding areas he played against during tournaments. Although he grew up in Illinois, he knew of my son’s team in the Milwaukee area. It’s funny in the past that I never realized what a HUGE fan base hockey has until my son started playing.
This was one of my first sessions on location for the season. Besides the cold temperatures, I couldn’t have asked for more gorgeous lighting conditions. Of course the beach is one of my favorite places to do location sessions as well. My client’s also had a love for the beach and water. They even told me the nursery will have a big photo of a wave above the crib. I can’t wait for more beach sessions to come.
