Vintage Style Photo Shoot
Over the weekend I went to my first shoot out with Sallykate Photography. For those of you reading this you might be wonder what in the world is a “Shoot out”? It’s generally a more experienced photographer (and well known in the photography world) who puts together a specific styled session on location. It’s a great way for photographers to learn and gain some insights from the head photographer who’s hosting the shoot out. It’s also a fantastic was to make connections, and network with other photographers in the area! Photographers came from all over such as Chicago, Rockford, Mequon, Green Bay. It was fun learning how far everyone came.
Sallykate Photography who’s based out of Texas just happens to come up to Wisconsin during the summer and has hosted this shoot out for 4 years now. She is friends with a local photographer here in Wisconsin with 14 acres of land. The amazing property had SO many great photo spots! Her land is filled with lots of animals, an old barn, and fields of grass. You can’t get much better than that!
This year Sally wanted to do a vintage style photo shoot. She had local models come, as well as many children of the photographers who attended the shoot out! There were tons of vintage outfits and accessories. These kids did an amazing job modeling in the hot weather we had. It was fun photographing the maternity model as well. It was so fun editing this vintage style photo shoot and I thought I’d share some of my images with you.
