The Great Lakes
I think sometimes us Midwesterners forget how lucky we are. We live in the middle of the country far from what most consider as “scenic” parts of the United States, but many of us forget how special it is to live by the Great Lakes. Especially those of us in larger cities around the lakes where beaches may not be in pristine condition.
I wanted to do some beach photos so I did some research on this beautiful park in Sheboygan County. Right along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Rolling sand dunes, tall grass, a long boardwalk, as well as forest areas. This park is absolutely gorgeous. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to go.
I absolutely love the colors of these images. The sky was light shades of pastels that really set off the beautiful blue color of Lake Michigan in the beach shots. I love the reflections off the sand when the waves washed out. It reminds me of sand along the shores in California that reflect the sky.
The Woodland images are so magical, I feel like it sums up childhood during the summer. Chasing fireflies, and watching the sunset. You can’t beat the magic of summer.
