Spring In Milwaukee

Often times as a family photographer I get asked what my favorite time of the year is for outdoor family sessions. It will always be spring in Milwaukee! From blooming flowers, to upswings in temperatures. My client’s can’t go wrong with a stunning outdoor spring session.

Flowering Trees

One reason why I absolutely love spring in Milwaukee is the beautiful flowering Crabapple trees! These are always my number one suggestion for Milwaukee photo sessions. Especially, during the warmer months when I’m not working quite as much as my studio. Of course with the exception of my newborn and cake smash sessions which are all done in my Milwaukee studio. These beautiful flowering trees only last about two weeks depending on the rain and wind.

Wisconsin Weather

Of course Wisconsin weather has a huge effect on this sweet flowers! Which brings me to my next love of spring! An upswing in temperatures. Spring in Milwaukee tends to be less humid than summer, and generally if there is a huge temperature swing it’s warmer. What does this mean for your outdoor family session? Young kids are happy, and not freezing! Fall is another very popular time for outdoor family photography in Milwaukee. However, when there’s a big temperature swing it tends to get much colder. Definitely more shocking to the body, and unfortunately young children may not love that!

Family Session

I was so excited for this beautiful family session! This was the third time I got to see this sweet Momma, and her adorable kids in a matter of a few months! The first time meeting her husband! Not only did this wonderful client book her son’s first birthday cake smash session a few months prior, but also her adorable daughters second birthday session as well!
