Senior Session In Milwaukee

Senior Session In Milwaukee

This high school senior and his Dad were so fun to work with! Just from original emails from his Dad, I knew we were going to have a blast for this senior session in Milwaukee. I always ask my clients if they have a location in mind, and of course refer them to my website and social media. This awesome senior wanted a Downtown Milwaukee feel for his senior pictures.

Fun Senior Session

We had such a fun senior session. Before even meeting these awesome clients of mine in Downtown Milwaukee, Dad had sent me a few emails with pictures. He said he wanted his son to look like the image within the email. To give you a great vision of what it was – think of a boy with a hard core 80’s mullet holding a frisbee. I legitimately laughed out loud when reading this email. I know we were going to have a fun senior session from then on. Working with client’s who have a great sense of humor and are laid back, makes my senior portrait sessions even better! To be fair, his son didn’t find it too funny he sent that photo to me.

Milwaukee Senior Photos

For these awesome Milwaukee senior photos we met up in the Third Ward. I always love this location, as there are so many incredible spots within a short walk from the car. Being a Milwaukee senior photographer, it’s important to know all the good spots for optimal lighting, and posing. Of course on certain days wind factor plays a roll as well! Knowing where to photograph my client senior session in Downtown Milwaukee when it’s windy outside makes your Milwaukee senior photography session run much smoother!

Not my normal post.. but you know something crazy?

In the midst of the explosion of excitement over the Milwaukee @brewers winning the World Series for the FIRST TIME EVER… I noticed something very real.

The special desire many people still have to hold onto memories in print. Since winning the title, I thought it would be fun to grab a newspaper for a keepsake to pass off to my kids when they’re older. Who knows if or when they’ll ever see the Brewers win the World Series again.

I wandered around to a few local places hoping to snag a copy, just for them to be sold out or nonexistent at all. What I came to realize through a few social media posts and people in stores - was that A LOT of people were simply trying to find a copy of the paper to keep for the memories.

I was lucky enough to make it to game 2 at @amfamfield, but tickets were only digital. There was the option to buy a printed ticket for a keepsake for a $50 fee.

I was lucky enough to make it to the parade yesterday, where my husband was handed this cover of the paper that I had been looking for. Then, was offered a 30 pack of cold Miller Lite for the paper, because some guy wanted it lol. 😆

Having printed keepsakes truly is becoming a thing of the past in this digital world. Holding memories in your hand is genuinely so much more gratifying than seeing them on a screen.

So when I tell clients how important it is to print their photos I truly mean it. Because passing down printed family photos to their children is a million times more important than a newspaper, or ticket stub. 💙⚾️💛
