Oak Creek Senior Photography

Let me say, this was a hot evening for this Oak Creek senior photography session. This sweet girl rocked it though, and you’d never know it was crazy humid outside! She picked out a perfect location for her summer senior pictures. I met Tessa when I photographed an Oak Creek High School girls LaCrosse game in the spring! One thing I love to photograph for fun is sports. When the team was looking for a photographer, I volunteered my time! My daughter had just started playing LaCrosse with a youth team and I thought it would be a fun opportunity to snap some action shots of the Oak Creek High School girls team!

Wind Point Lighthouse

The Wind Point Lighthouse in Racine, is such a gorgeous location. I was excited for this Oak Creek senior photography session here! It’s not a spot too many of my high school seniors around the Milwaukee area choose, so I was glad when she did! It has everything from of course the beautiful lighthouse, to rustic fences and green trees, to the rocky shoreline of Lake Michigan. So many amazing opportunities for senior photography shots!

Hot and Humid Senior Session

This was a very hot and humid senior session! Of course living in Wisconsin, the weather can change daily! Even during the summer months, it could be cooler and cloudy and the following day be hot and hazy outside. This amazing Oak Creek senior did a wonderful job at her session despite the humid temperatures! Hey there, hey! 👋🏻

With a bunch of new followers, I thought I’d re-introduce myself! I’m Kellie - yes… spelled with an IE NOT a Y. 😆 Often times, I introduce myself like this in person.. because it gets people to remember my name- and gets a laugh lol. I’ve spent my whole life spelling it to people, it doesn’t bother me though. I’d rather have a unique spelling than the norm. 😁

Yes, I’m tall. No, I did not play basketball as a kid. (If you’re a tall girl you’ll get me 😂)

My favorite season is SUMMER! The hotter and more humid the better! ☀️

I absolutely have a favorite type of session to photograph, but I won’t put it in writing because sometimes it changes. 😉

My work is bold with vibrant colors, strong outdoor lighting, and touch of whimsy all around! We live in a world of color, and color makes people HAPPY! 🤗

I got my start in photography in high school, then went to college for photography as well! I’ve been in business for 15 years, but have over 20 years of experience!! 📸

I recently won the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Community Choice Award in the photography category, which was pretty exciting! 💯

A big goal of mine when working with client’s is not only to provide stunning final images, but an awesome time! Your photo session should be fun and exciting, not stressful or a chore. 🫣 Of course I take my job seriously, but I’m a laid back - joke telling- go with the flow type of person. My clients leave their sessions feeling less like clients and more like friends. And that’s exactly how it should be. ❤️
