One of the best things about my job?
When client’s I haven’t seen in years remember me.
Sounds simple right? It’s truly one of the biggest compliments. Remembering and rebooking a small business owner is a huge deal. ❤️
I photographed their older brother’s senior photos 6 years ago! I honestly didn’t realize it until Mom pointed it out. Of course I remembered his exact photos and location, but in 6 years I’ve done aaalooottt of photos lol.
Loved getting to know these twins, and those baseball shots Mom wanted are 👌🏻.

Let’s talk about something real….
Not everyone loves having their photos taken… and it’s totally normal! I hear it quite often from parents- especially with senior guys.
And you know what I hear next? Well I know a Mom who has a camera and will take a few photos…well my cousin has a camera, well my neighbors dogs best friends brother has a camera. Well, maybe not that last one 😂 but the list goes on and on. Or- I’m just going to take a photo on my phone and submit it to the yearbook. 🫠
Here’s a little secret…. Just because you know someone who owns a camera, doesn’t mean they can connect to their subject like a professional with years of experience can. Putting client’s needs first, and creating an experience that makes them feel comfortable in the spotlight is much bigger than just knowing someone who owns a camera.
So at the end of my session when my client smiles and says “That was fun” I know providing something other than beautiful final photos is what makes the entire experience worth it. ❤️
