Beach Cake Smash

This sweet little girl was SO happy for her beach cake smash! The evening was absolutely gorgeous at Simmons Beach in Kenosha, the pastel sky was perfect for this little ones cake smash!

When Mom and I first talked, she wasn’t sure if she should do a beach session for her little girl or a studio session or BOTH. She was so torn, and I told her that toddlers can be a little weird with sand. Sometimes they absolutely hate the feeling of it! Mom actually went to the beach before the session to find out if her little girl was okay with it! Sounds funny, but she loved the sand so we decided to do a beach session for her!

The sunlight this evening was so perfect. The tall beach grass in this location is one of my favorite spots. I’m not sure what makes it so magical, but every evening I shoot here it does NOT disappoint. Once the sun really dropped we did her cake smash. The sky above Lake Michigan turned beautiful shades of pastels, which ended up matching her cake and tutu! It doesn’t get much better than that! I’m sure this sweet one year old ate a bit of sand, but she sure was happy the entire time!
