Family Photography
It’s always exciting when another photographer asks you to do their family photography session for them!!
I’ve gotten to know Michelle and Ben of Nakasato Photography over the last few years. Michelle found me through a mutual friend and asked if I would ever be interested in swapping family photography sessions. Of course I said yes, and now we’ve been doing each other’s family photos for quite a while!
As any photographer knows, it’s impossible to do your own family photos. Lets face it, even photographing your own small kids on their own can be a huge challange. It’s awesome to be able to meet other photographers within the Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Waukesha areas to swap out family photography sessions with. It can be really strange as well to be IN FRONT of the lens instead of behind it, but Michelle and Ben are amazing at both! Michelle always brings along lots of ideas, and fun props to her sessions.
One of Michelle’s favorite spots is in Oak Creek by the beach. We share a love of pastel, or as we like to call them cotton candy skies, as well as the color aqua and sea foam green! I was excited to photograph her awesome family at this location that she loves so much.
I absolutely love the way this family photography session turned out! Although it was a cloudy and somewhat dark evening, I feel like the clouds added a touch of whimsy to her session. You can’t go wrong with the beautiful colors in the sky at dusk.
As always, I had a ton of fun photography this lovely family! Michelle is always so bubbly, outgoing and so much fun to work with!
