OVERSHARE ALERT! But, I can do that because…. this is my blog and my kiddo! haha I’m in LOOOOVE with these photos from my daughter’s sunset milestone session!

There are some downfalls of being a photographer when it comes to getting pics of my own kids. I feel like I’m taking SO many photos of other families and their children that I get tired, and well…don’t want to take my “nice” camera out of my bag!

One of the GREAT things about being a photographer though, is that I can be pretty selective on where and WHEN I do my own kids photos. If I want a snowy day I can wait for a big storm. If I want lots of sunshine and an amazing sunset I can wait for a day (even waiting until last minute when the sun is setting) to run out the door and snap a few pics! In this case that’s exactly what I was hoping for, lots of sunshine with a gorgeous sunset and of course..a view of it all!

I came across this amazing location in Milwaukee, and knew I had to do my daughter’s photos here. Although there isn’t much in terms of structures, I think that’s why I love it even more. Nothing to block this gorgeous yellow, pink, and orange sunset. With cooler weather setting in, and knowing the outfits I picked out for my daughter weren’t super warm… I decided to do a quick session for her! I’m so glad I did because the sunset was stunning, and it REALLY WAS one of the last 70+ degree evenings.

Working with high schoolers, and photographing senior portraits is one of my favorite sessions. 🙌🏻

It isn’t JUST about the end result and creating killer images for my client. It’s….
📍Tailoring each and every session to my high schoolers individual styles.
📍Listening to my clients and HOW THEY want to be photographed.
📍Helping my seniors build confidence throughout their session to feel comfortable in front of the camera.
📍Creating some 💣 images, they WANT to show off and put in their yearbook.

Seeing my high school seniors confidence soar throughout their session is my #1 goal along with putting incredible images in your hands.
