Sunlit Blossoms

One of my favorite family sessions, hands down!! I just LOVE spring time in Milwaukee, especially when the crabapple blossoms start to bloom. But, a mix of crabapple blossoms and sunlight is simply stunning! I absolutely love how everything about this sunlit blossoms family session turned out.

Elizabeth contacted me back in January wanting to book a family session, specifically during the time these gorgeous trees were in bloom. She is from Virginia so as you can imagine, she loves cherry blossoms and incorporating these into the session was important. We set up an estimated time frame, and waited..and waited..and waited. As spring came and it was STILL snowing during the middle of April, we ended up having to push back our date to work around these beautiful blooms.

I am in LOVE with my sneaky little spot that I go to with these sunlit blossoms sessions. Let’s face it, these pink and white flowering trees are all over the place in the Milwaukee and Kenosha areas. The majority of the time though you find them in parking lots, and areas most people don’t want to have their pics taken. Finding mature trees, and CLUSTERS of mature trees is a treasure.

This family was SO much fun. The kiddos were amazing, and great to work with.  They are also a Navy family, so talking about military life is always interesting on it’s own! I’m so glad we ended up with a gorgeous night for their sunlit blossoms session.
