Senior Beach Session

I had the pleasure of meeting Miss B and her sweet Momma over the winter. This gorgeous girl attends (..well attended..) Tremper High School in Kenosha. They came into my Milwaukee studio for the first portion of their session to do some more traditional headshots for B’s senior photos. For the outdoor portion of her senior session they decided to wait until, well you know… it wasn’t negative ten and snowing outside in Wisconsin! When the time came, B decided she wanted some photos at the Kenosha marina as well as the beach.

We started her session at the Kenosha marina, which is such a fun location. I haven’t shot here before but I grew up sailing, so I’m a sucker to be around boats. After the marina we went to Simmons beach in Kenosha, which is one of my absolute favorite places to photograph! I swear this spot just has some of the prettiest lighting. We lucked out and had a gorgeous sun kissed evening. This sky above Lake Michigan was glowing with beautiful colors once the sun started to set.

I was so much fun working with this sweet girl and her family. She was SO photogenic, the camera really loved her!

Hey there, hey! 👋🏻

With a bunch of new followers, I thought I’d re-introduce myself! I’m Kellie - yes… spelled with an IE NOT a Y. 😆 Often times, I introduce myself like this in person.. because it gets people to remember my name- and gets a laugh lol. I’ve spent my whole life spelling it to people, it doesn’t bother me though. I’d rather have a unique spelling than the norm. 😁

Yes, I’m tall. No, I did not play basketball as a kid. (If you’re a tall girl you’ll get me 😂)

My favorite season is SUMMER! The hotter and more humid the better! ☀️

I absolutely have a favorite type of session to photograph, but I won’t put it in writing because sometimes it changes. 😉

My work is bold with vibrant colors, strong outdoor lighting, and touch of whimsy all around! We live in a world of color, and color makes people HAPPY! 🤗

I got my start in photography in high school, then went to college for photography as well! I’ve been in business for 15 years, but have over 20 years of experience!! 📸

I recently won the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Community Choice Award in the photography category, which was pretty exciting! 💯

A big goal of mine when working with client’s is not only to provide stunning final images, but an awesome time! Your photo session should be fun and exciting, not stressful or a chore. 🫣 Of course I take my job seriously, but I’m a laid back - joke telling- go with the flow type of person. My clients leave their sessions feeling less like clients and more like friends. And that’s exactly how it should be. ❤️
